Laois hurling panel announced
November 19, 2008
New Laois hurling manager Niall Rigney has named his provisional panel for 2009.
Former All-Star nominee James Young and Matthew Whelan have been included in the 37-man squad after missing this year's championship through injury, while young Camross attacking sensation, Zane Keenan, who had a high-profile falling out with former manager Damien Fox this year, is also named.
However, Keenan, along with dual star Cahir Healy and Clough-Ballacolla's Canice Coonan, have indicated that they may not be available from the beginning due to other commitments.
The O'Moore County will play in Division 2 of next year's restructured National League before hosting Leinster newcomers Galway in their championship opener next May.
