Another provincial double for all-conquering Kieran's

May 21, 2015

St Kieran's College have completed their second Leinster double of the year.

The inimitable college had already won a senior provincial double before going on to garner All-Ireland senior colleges glory and, at Nowlan Park last weekend, their juveniles defeated Kilkenny CBS by 2-14 to 0-14 to capture the Leinster post primary schools juvenile championship title (having earlier in the year claimed the league).

After the watch, winning captain Mark Nolan collected the silverware from Bord na nOg chairman Joe Pyke.

A large crowd turned out to witness an engrossing match, at the end of which St Kieran's were crowned juvenile champions for a third successive season as they won the Dr Barry Cup for a record 35th time.
