Kilkenny likely to appeal Farrell red card

Kilkenny are expected to appeal the straight red card Jonjo Farrell received in the first half of today's defeat to Dublin.
TV replays suggested that the sending off, which followed a fracas in the 25th minute, was harsh. The All-Ireland champions also had Joe Lyng dismissed on a straight red in the 55th minute, but an appeal here seems unlikely after the substitute caught Cian Boland with a wild pull.
Referee Colm Lyons also sent off Dublin's Danny Sutcliffe on a second yellow card in the final minute.
