O'Connor tells Croker chiefs to 'mind their own business'

Former Kilkenny star Eddie O'Connor
Kilkenny's 1993 All-Ireland winning captain Eddie O'Connor has blasted Croke Park officials following the release of Paraic Duffy's discussion document on payments to managers.
The outspoken Glenmore man, who has criticised the GAA on the issue before, has told top brass not to interfere with the affairs of clubs and county boards who, he insists, should be allowed to spend their money on whatever they want.
"Nothing surprises me when it comes to what comes out of Croke Park. It's a load of hogwash," he said in the Irish Independent.
"My opinion is that, if a club is in a position to improve the team by bringing in an outside manager, then it's nobody else's business. I've been involved with a number of clubs and thoroughly enjoyed training them. If I get €50 a night for training a team, I'm gone for four hours and I have to cover diesel and phone expenses. What I do in my own time is my business.
"If they're that concerned, the GAA should look in the mirror. Couldn't Christy Cooney and Pauric Duffy work for €50,000 and put some of that money back into the players?"
