Declan is en route to become the next great Kilkenny hurling legend until fate intervenes and he loses his big chance. So, he does what many Irish have done before and heads to the 35th county - Bondi Beach, Australia.

Australia proves not only home to nine of the ten most poisonous creatures on earth, to Crocodile Dundee and sixty million sheep but also Declan's re-awakening.

In a land of sun, fun and a thousand friendly faces, ten thousand miles from home, with the Olympics coming, it's an exciting time and s a chance to start again but can Declan take it? Or is any attempt at escape doomed to failure?

Set in Ireland and Australia Bondi Beach Boy Blue is a funny, moving bittersweet comedy about two friends, the game of hurling and falling in and out of love and what happens when going to bat for your dreams gets thwarted.
