Cody refuses to be derailed

Kilkenny manager Brian Cody is ruling out any thoughts of an historic five-in-a-row and stressed that they are not looking beyond the All-Ireland semi final next month.

The Cats booked their place in the last four courtesy of a comfortable win over Galway in the Leinster final last weekend and now they must wait to see who their opponents will be.

Cody admitted that they will work away in the coming weeks on sharpening their game as he feels that his charges can play a lot better.

"They All-Ireland semi final is the only thing on the horizon as far as we are concerned," said Cody. "It doesn't matter who thinks what about anything.

"I only think about the next game. We have no idea who we will be meeting. Whoever it will be will be a top team, but we will be ready."
