Kilkenny midfielder James 'Cha' Fitzpatrick believes that Sunday's Leinster hurling final will be a very good match indeed.

A lot has been made of the fact that Galway struggled to overcome Offaly as they needed a replay to see off the Faithful County and book their place in the Leinster final for the first time ever.

Kilkenny have been installed as strong favourites to lift the title for a sixth consecutive, but Fitzpatrick, who has just returned from injury feels that it will be a titanic battle on Sunday.

"A very good Leinster final is in prospect," said the Ballyhale Shamrocks clubman. "Galway's two matches against Offaly will have brought them on a ton.

"They may have had close shaves in the semi-final and replay, but they proved themselves to be a team with real character and plenty of hurling." Tweet
