Mulrooney: the best is yet to come

Kilkenny U21 manager Richie Mulrooney
Kilkenny minor manager Richie Mulrooney has stressed that his charges have yet to hit top gear ahead of Leinster final against Dublin on Sunday.

The Cats easily disposed of Offaly in the semi final to set up a meeting with a Dublin side that they beat in the first round of the provincial campaign.

Mulrooney knows that Dublin will pose a different threat on Sunday and he was adamant that his players would not be taking their opponents for granted.

"We want to do well in this competition, but we haven't reached the bar that's required just yet," said the Kilkenny manager.

As well as reaching a Leinster final, we have also qualified for the All-Ireland series. We have Dublin in the Leinster final, and we won't be treating that game lightly at all."
