Kilkenny are through to the Leinster MHC final following a clinical display against Offaly on Saturday evening.

The Cats were awesome from start to finish and they were never really troubled by the Faithful county as the defending champions got off to a great start despite playing against a stiff breeze.

Indeed, Offaly may have lead by 0-4 to 0-3 after 13 minutes but Kilkenny took off and a goal by Ger Aylward coupled with three points helped moved the Cats in front.

Offaly battled hard and reduced the deficit to four points by half time as they trailed by 1-10 to 0-9, but in the second half, Kilkenny stepped up a gear.

A second goal for Kilkenny by John Power put the game beyond Offaly as they went on to hit and impressive 1-12 in the second period to book their place in the final. Tweet
