Camogs host Galway this Saturday

June 10, 2010
Kilkenny will get their Gala All-Ireland camogie championship campaign underway this weekend when they welcome Galway to Nowlan Park.

In a repeat of last year's All-Ireland semi-final, which the Cats won in dramatic fashion thanks to a fourth minute injury-time goal from Marie O'Connor, the hosts are the fancied side going into this contest but know they will have to be wary of their Connacht opponents.

Last year Kilkenny reached their first All-Ireland decider since 2001, losing out to kingpins Cork, and will look to go one better this year with their first step set to be taken in two days' time against the Tribeswomen.

Kilkenny face Galway this Saturday, June 12, in the Gala All-Ireland championship at Nowlan Park, where throw-in is at 1.00pm.
