Kilkenny's Richie Power evades Cork's Ronan Curran
Richie Power was released from hospital on Sunday night, ending a real injury scare.
The Cats attacker had scored 0-8 in the first half of Kilkenny's victory over Offaly at Nowlan Park but had to be removed to hospital by ambulance at half time after suffering what seemed a serious injury to the head/neck area.
The Carrickshock clubman shipped a heavy knock when attempting to gather possession and was left grounded by the blow. However, after undergoing a series of tests he was discharged last night with no serious injury problems.
After being attended to on the pitch by Kilkenny physio Robbie Lodge and team doctor Bill Cuddihy, Power's neck was placed in a brace and he was rushed to St Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny for x-rays.
But he has been given the all clear, much to the obvious relief of Brian Cody and his team.
