Naas turn to McCabe

November 30, 2016

New Naas manager Declan McCabe

Naas have appointed former Meath selector Declan McCabe as their new manager.

McCabe managed Meath side Summerhill to SFC success in 2011 and 2013 before becoming selector with the Royals under Mick O'Dowd this year.

The Cavan native who is a brother of former Breffni All-Star Dermot won six senior football championships with Gowna in the past.

He takes over from Sean Dempsey who stepped down from the position at the end of this year's campaign.

Naas are a club on the rise again with much underage success in recent years including the under-16, minor and under-21 titles in 2016.
