Doyle wary of Offaly threat

Kildare defender Eoin Doyle believes that they need to focus on the Offaly game or their campaign to come to a sudden halt.

The Lilywhites are still licking their wounds after the drubbing they suffered at the hands of Dublin last Sunday.

However, they have little time to dwell on that result as they face neighbours Offaly in the qualifiers this Saturday and Doyle stressed to the Kildare Nationalist that they had to refocus very quickly.

"The thing about Offaly is that they are our neighbours and I'm sure they have been looking forward to it for the past week," said Doyle.

"This is going to be their All-Ireland, we've played them a lot over the last five or six years and we've got the better of them so they are really going to be putting in a big effort to turn us over.

"It's up to us to get the recovery done, get our heads right and get back to the drawing board. Unfortunately, we are used to this, it's not what we wanted but this is the way it is and we just have to put the heads down and go again."
