Sarsfields 5 - 5 Two Mile House 7 - 6

After a week of poor weather Sarsfields and Two Mile House stepped out on a bright morning onto the pitch for what turned out to be a thrilling game of football.

Two Mile House started very quickly and launched attack after attack at the Sarsfields rearguard. They scored two quick goals and in the scramble to score the second Sarsfields lost their full back Sarah Brady to a bloody nose. By the time she was patched up and the home defence was reshuffled Two Mile House had built up a huge lead of 18 points.

The home team eventually went on the attack and Molly Cassidy got the Sash underway with a goal. The rest of the half belonged to the home team and they were next on the score sheet with an absolute screamer of a goal from Elaine Keogh who buried the ball in the top corner from 20 yards out. Sarsfields tagged on two more scores before the break with a Kellie Fisher point and a Molly Cassidy penalty goal to leave the scoreline Sarsfields 3-1 TMH 5-3 at halftime.

The second half was a more even affair as both teams scrapped for everything. Aine Fisher put over a point for the Sash before TMH responded with one of their own. Sarsfields continued their fight back with the next 3 scores, the first a Molly Cassidy goal after a great lay off from Lauren Farrelly. Kellie Fisher scored next with a pointed free after a heavy challenge on Molly Cassidy before Molly added to her tally with another point to close the gap.

TMH then hit a spell of domination and racked up another 1-2 to extend their advantage and despite Sarsfields getting the last two scores, another Molly Cassidy goal and a wonderful point from Sophie Murphy it just wasn't enough to rescue the game for the home side.
