Moorefield manager Luke Dempsey feels that the switch of Ronan Sweeney to midfield helped them get back into the game.

The defending champions came from five points down to secure a draw after Sarsfields had dominated for long periods of last Sunday's county final.

And Dempsey explained to the Leinster Leader that he felt it was the switch of the experienced Sweeney to midfield that helped change the game.

"We decided to bring Ronan Sweeney out to midfield. I felt it was an important move," said Dempsey. "He got to grips, he has a never say die attitude and he has never let his club down.

"He got on top around the middle; got the ball to the inside men like we did at the latter end of the opening half and did the same in the latter part of the second half."
