Sarsfields have made a request to the Kildare CCCC that the county minor final between themselves and Athy be postponed.

The minor decider is set to be played on the same day as Sarsfields face Moorefield in the senior football championship decider.

However, Sarsfields have three minors on their senior team and manager John Crofton will be keen to have these players available for selection.

In recent years, the minor and senior finals have gone ahead, regardless of who is playing in them and Sarsfields are still awaiting a decision on whether or not the game will be moved.
