Kildare manager Jason Ryan believes that they have to learn from their experiences this year and use them to good effect in 2015.

The Lilywhites campaign came to an end last Saturday evening when Monaghan came out on top after an epic battle that needed extra time to separate the sides.

And Ryan told the Kildare Nationalist that it was too soon to reflect on the campaign, but he stressed that the team must learn from this.

"It is far too soon for me to reflect on the whole thing," said Ryan. "In sport you try to look back and try to learn from what has happened but at the same time you are trying to look forward.

"So the amount of reflection on January, February and March, and possibly October, November and December and so on, that is something that we will do over time.

"With the team it's been a constant case of evolving, and tactics evolving and personnel evolving over the course of the year; now we have a number of months to reflect on what worked and what didn't to make sure that Kildare in 2015 are in a better shape and more competitive than they were, like every other team this season."
