July 21, 2014
Well done to both Rheban and Athy Ladies tonight on a top class entertaining game of Championship football with Rheban running out the strongest at the full time with a final score of Rheban 3-08 Athy 0-05.

Rheban got off to a flying start with an Alison Shaw goal with only a few minutes on the clock and they soon followed this up with another goal and 5 points with Athy kicking two points of there own in response ,Rhebans second goal coming again from the boot of Alison Shaw.
Defensively both teams fought tooth and nail all the way with scoring chances drying up at both ends as the half wore on till Rhebans Taylor Hunter found the net with her great strike in the final few minutes to leave it Rheban 3-05 Athy 0-02 at the half time whistle.

The second half continued where the fist left off with fantastic defending at both ends keeping it a very tight second half with Athy converting 3 points and Rheban responded with three of their own kicked by Tracy Perse (2) and Regina Owens.

Well done to Rheban Ladies who bounced back following last weeks defeat with a very strong performance and full credit to the Athy girls who battled all the way.
