Scoil Ui Chonaill club notes
May 14, 2012
Team of the week are the Girls Under 13s who had a great win in their league game on Saturday afternoon.
For the boys, it was football on Saturday morning with a busy morning for the Nursery boys and girls all enjoying the dry weather. The Under 8s had a big win in their game and everyone was happy with their team work and effort. Some juvenile games were refixed due to Communion events and will be played during the week instead. On the adult front, the Ladies A had a draw in their League game on Wednesday last and are well placed at the top of their league.
The Minor footballers had a walkover on Sunday and trained in the Club. Well done to Scoil Neasáin on winning their schools' hurling final in Croke Park last Tuesday. Well done also to our Club Games Promotion Officer, Joanne Courtney and Monaghan on winning the Ladies Football Division 1 Final. Don't forget the Clubhouse is open every Thursday night for members and friends. The Club Festival Weekend takes place as usual over the June Bank Holiday weekend. Events start with a Blitz on Thursday night, with challenge games for adult mens and ladies teams on Friday night. The big Family day (including the juvenile football Blitz) is on Saturday and there will be a BBQ on Sunday following the Dublin championship game. Bring along your books, bottles, bric a brac etc to the Club over the next two weeks so stall holders can organise their stock. Keep an eye out for more details in the Club newsletter and on the website. Check the club website www.scoilgaa.org for details of all upcoming fixtures and events.
