Sunderland ready to meet former boss

Kildare and Wicklow meet again.
Kildare's Willie Sunderland feels that the Kerry game can't come soon enough.
Having suffered an opening round defeat to Derry in the Christy Ring Cup last week, Kildare are in the last chance saloon this Saturday when they take on defending champions Kerry.
Sunderland has a close association with Kerry manager John Meyler as the Kildare boss was a selector with Meyler when he was manager of Wexford and he has the utmost respect for his former mentor.
"Speaking to the players afterwards, they were very disappointed and the feeling I get is that they can't get at it again quick enough," Sunderland stressed to the Kildare Nationalist.
"We have Kerry at home now. If anybody had designs on winning the Christy Ring Cup they will have to beat Kerry at some stage.
"John is a very passionate man about what he does and I often said Wexford made a mistake by doing what they did but that's long gone at this stage, we've both gone a long way since then.
"I know he will have Kerry very well prepared, he is very single minded in what he does. They are a group of players who I am sure will be chomping at the bit to get a victory for themselves."
