CLANE GAA OPEN / INFORMATION EVENING
FRI 10TH FEBRUARY 2012 @ 8pm
All parents of all underage teams, new families & new Adult players to the locality are invited to attend.
The Evening will deal with the following:
* The safety of children
* Launch of Club Policies & Code of Best Practice
* Meet & Greet with all the coaches & mentors
* Showcase the club & the various teams in both Hurling & Football
There was no winner of the Lotto Jackpot worth €3,000 on 29th January. The numbers drawn were 9, 14, 15 & 25. Congratulations to the €25 winners: U Heffernan, John Heffernan, Jacinta Lally & Mick Gill. The jackpot for Sunday 5th February is €3,150 and tickets cost €2.
The Hurling Awards Night took place on Thursday last in the club and a great night was had by all - Henry Shefflin was on hand to present the medals.
Underage football & hurling training will resume the 1st week of February. The Tiny Tots football recommences in the Scoil Mhuire Community School Hall on Sat 4th February at 10.30am with the rest of the smaller underage football & Hurling groups commencing this week up in Clongowes - Underage managers will be in contact with the players. All new players are welcome to come down.
Need new playing gear for the start of the season: Club merchandise is available in the club shop on Thursday nights from 8pm & Saturday mornings from 11.30am. 10% discount on regular stock along with many special offers including some stock been sold at half price. Gift vouchers also available.

The club would like to wish both our Senior Football & Senior Hurlers the best of luck for their upcoming campaign. Sean O'Dea is at the helm for the footballers once more while Jimmy McMullan has taken up the reigns for the hurlers. The Senior Ladies Camogie & Football teams have also commenced their pre-season training and any new ladies to the community are invited to pop down on a Monday or Wednesday nights.
The competitive games for the Senior Footballers gets underway this Saturday 11th February with the Conneff Cup Final taking place in Clane. The lads play Kilcock - please check website for starting time. The draw for the Aldridge Cup took place on Tuesday last and the lads drew County Champions Athy, Allenwood & Suncroft. The competition is due to get under way on Sat 18th February. The Minor footballers are again in Division 1 this year and their campaign gets underway on Sunday 12th February with a 11.30am start - opponents on the day has yet to be released.
The following are the starting dates for the Bord na nOg competitions: U/14 Feile Football - Sunday 26th February, U/14 Feile Hurling - Sunday 18th March, U/16 Football league - Saturday 25th February, U/16 Hurling league - Wednesday 4th April.
The underage football street leagues commence on Sat 11th at 2.30pm and will run for 3 Saturdays in total - all new players are welcome to come down on the days & participate!
All Club members are reminded that membership is now due for 2012. The following rates apply: Full Playing Membership €80, Full Membership €70, Family Membership €120, Juvenile €50, Social €35, Student/Apprentice €50. Remember if you are a player and have not paid by 31st March, you will not be covered by insurance. New members always welcome.
A second membership day will take place in the coming weeks with a date yet to be decided - this will be notified through the club website, the club Facebook page, club texts & also the parish newletter.
