Tadgh Fennin swerves with ball
Kildare footballer Tadgh Fennin has revealed the reasons for deciding to call time on his inter county career, even though many feel he has plenty to offer yet. Fennin, who only recently turned 30, has been one of the top forwards in the province for the best part of a decade and it was widely felt that he still had a role to play with the Lilywhites. However, the Castlemitchell's clubman revealed that his appetite for the game is not as strong as it use to be and he felt that now is the time to go. "There was no pressure on me from work or from home or anything like that. I suppose I have just being struggling to make it the last few years," said Fennin. "It's a big commitment and I just felt I wasn't enjoying it as much anymore. I felt I had given everything I could give at this stage and I just decided it might be better for me to finish up and go back to the club."
