O'Neill adopts one game at a time mantra

Kildare manager Cian O'Neill is following the route many of his peers use during championship in that they are taking it 'one game at a time'.
The Lilywhites have turned their season completely around in the last fortnight, even though they had defeated Derry and Longford in the opening rounds of the qualifiers, but the win over Mayo in the third round and then the ease of which they defeated Fermanagh last Saturday has really made people sit up and take notice of what is unfolding here.
That win over the Ulster side earned Kildare a place in the Super 8s, a situation that looked a long, long way away when Carlow defeated them in the Leinster SFC.
Now, though they are planning for their opening game of the new All-Ireland quarter-final series against Monaghan and then they must also face Galway and Kerry, but O'Neill stressed to the Leinster Leader that they can't look beyond the next game.
"If we were being honest at the start of the year the Super 8s would have been one of our objectives, not necessarily the way we have made it though but we will start with it in Croke Park next weekend," said O'Neill.
"We have seen who our opponents are and that is a big help and we will simply take it one game at a time."
