The hard work paid off for Dara Moynihan and his Kerry minor team-mates in today's All-Ireland MFC final against Galway.

The number 10, who sent over two points, was selected as the 'man-of-the-match' from the Tom Markham Cup final and, afterwards, he told TG4's GAA BEO: "We put in the effort all through the year.

"Back in November we started meeting up, all those gym sessions, indoor sessions, it was tough, all the core work.

"To be fair to Galway they put it up to us and we knew they would.

"Conditions were slippy and it was hard to get a hold of the ball, to kick the ball and we had to keep it in hands."

He concluded by hailing the county's "unbelievable" three-in-a-row achievement and paying tribute to manager Peter Keane and his backroom team.
