Tomas O Se's Cork SFC debut for Nemo Rangers couldn't have gone much better yesterday.
Lining out at centre back, the 36-year-old Kerry legend helped his new club to a 1-18 to 0-10 victory over Ilen Rovers in Dunmanway. O Se had already played a number of league games for the record Andy Scannell Cup holders since transferring from his native An Ghaeltacht at the end of last year. He won five All-Ireland medals during a glittering inter-county career with the Kingdom.
Despite what the scoreline might suggest, Nemo didn't have it all their own way and trailed by 0-7 to 0-10 at half-time. But they turned up the heat after the restart when they scored an unanswered 1-11.
In yesterday's other Cork SFC first round clash, Doheny's defeated Aghada by 1-11 to 0-10.
