Kerry hurling manager Eamonn Kelly says the odds are against his team winning promotion to Division 1B.

Having captured the Division 2A crown with victory over Westmeath last weekend, the Kingdom face Antrim in the promotion / relegation play-off at Parnell Park on Saturday afternoon and Kelly believes the odds are stacked in the Glensmen's favour:

"The way this thing is stacked it supports the team that are coming down," the Tipperary man states in The Kerryman. "They've got a two-week break and you've had a competitive game.

"The odds are stacked against you to try and go up to that division. If you look at Antrim and the games they're after playing in the national league, every game they were playing they were learning from it.

"They were playing Limerick and Waterford, very good sides, Wexford ... and they've got a two-week break. Listen, we have a bit of silverware here and we'll give it a right go next week. We were given very little chance coming in [against Westmeath] and hopefully it'll be the same next week and the lads build on that stuff."
