Kerry selector Mikey Sheehy believes it's far too long since they defeated Dublin in the league.

The sides meet in Killarney on Sunday afternoon and when it comes to recent league meetings, they Dubs are well on top.

Sheehy revealed to the Kerryman that the Kingdom have not beaten Dublin in the league since he became involved in the management team and even before then, their record against the Dubs is poor.

"We've had a few defeats to Dublin in the league lately, in fact we haven't beaten them during my time involved and that's something we would like to rectify on Sunday," said Sheehy.

"The Dubs are always a great test whenever you play them and Sunday will be no different. At this stage we wouldn't be thinking of the championship at all.

"The priority is to get a win and two points. There's always a chance to lay down a marker in games like this but two points would get us nearer to the play-off places rather than looking at the relegation spots like we have been for the last couple of campaigns."
