The GAA has replaced Daithi O Se with Hector O hEochagain as master of ceremonies in Croke Park tomorrow.

With his tongue lodged firmly in his cheek, O Se claimed to The Irish Independent he had been 'dropped' because of his Kingdom roots.

Meath man Hector will be on duty instead, entertaining the 82,000 strong Croker crowd, with O Se due to return for the All-Ireland SHC final replay.

"I was dropped. For some reason they thought I'd be biased. Instead they put me on the hurling replay," quipped The Rose of Tralee host.

Despite his allegiance, the RTE personality revealed that he is hoping for a draw in the Sam Maguire decider.

"I did a tenner bet on two draws at 10-to-1 so it's €110 going on an eight-to-one draw, so that's almost €1,000 if it's a draw for me."
