An interesting side feature of Kerry and Mayo's All-Ireland SFC semi final clash at the weekend focuses on their respective coaches.

In Kerry's corner this weekend will be Cian O'Neill who before coming on board was part of the Mayo management team, while his Mayo counterpart is non-other than Kerry native Donie Buckley who worked with the Kingdom when Jack O'Connor.

Both will have knowledge of the opposition camp and it sets the scene for another twist in what is sure to be an intriguing battle regardless.

Kerry manager Eamonn Fitzmaurice believes that there is no great significance of both men having worked with the opposing squads in recent years.

"Both of them obviously has good knowledge of the opposite camp but I think we are two years down the road now in terms of where both camps are, so I don't think it's as big a factor as it could be," Fitzmaurice told the Kerryman.

"I think in Division One especially, the National League is so serious that Division One opposition are very familiar with each other anyway so I don't think it's a big factor."
