Kerry forward Paul Geaney feels that there is a unity within the squad that is helping their performances.

The Kingdom hammered Cork in the Munster SFC final to send out a warning to all their rivals for the remainder of the campaign.

Speaking to the Kerryman, Geaney believes that having spent so much time together as a squad means that there is tightness there now.

With so many young players coming into the squad over the last couple of seasons, it has taken time for the side to gel together, but Geaney is adamant that they are seeing the benefits of that now.

"We are such a tight bunch at this stage we weren't looking too much at pre-match odds or what was being said," Geaney said of the Munster final win.

"We know how good we are, we knew that we were only a kick of a ball away from going to an All-Ireland final last year. We were going down to Pairc Ui Chaoimh fully confident and it was a great result. There were positives and negatives from that game."
