Colm Cooper knows how the Cork footballers felt following last Sunday's 10-point collapse at the hands of Dublin.

The 'Gooch' and his Kerry team-mates found themselves in a similar situation last August when they finished on the wrong end of the 3-18 to 3-11 scoreline against Jim Gavin's side.

"(It had) a little bit of our own semi-final in the championship last year, Kerry getting off to the best start and Dublin coming back," he observed to the Irish Daily Star.

"The same thing happened to Cork the last day, they were 10 points up but the Dubs just showed their strength in depth in the second half.

"The subs they brought on, they lifted their game, they showed why they're the favourites to win the All-Ireland again."

The cruciate ligament sidelined Kerry star agrees that Dublin are deserving of the favourites tag for this year's All-Ireland SFC but points out that no team is unbeatable.

"I'm convinced that Dublin are rightfully the favourites but I think there are definitely going to to be a few tough days ahead of them in the Championship whether that's a Leinster final, (All-Ireland) quarter-final, semi-final or final.

"There's always a day or two when you could be beaten and that's speaking from experience. We've been in that situation and who knows with injuries, suspensions and things.

"I think the Dubs have justified why they're favourites but I wouldn't say it's a foregone conclusion."
