They married in 1987, had two children, daughter Aileen and son Jamie, both of whom he loved and adored so much.

Jimmy had a great love of sport and he played in all grades with Laune Rangers up to minor. He spent his early years working as a blocklayer and in 1989 was employed by Liebherr Ltd, Killamey. He loved his job and had built up a fantastic friendship with his work mates.

But in February 2009 Jimmy was diagnosed with cancer. He bore his illness with great dignity and positivity until it finally brought him down.

May he rest in peace.
