Coach attacked at Kerry under-12 match

An under-12 football match in Kerry had to be abandoned following an unsavoury incident.
Parents and players were left shocked when a coach of one of the team's was allegedly attacked by another man and grabbed by the throat.
The incident happened as John Mitchell's played St Senan's in Mountcoal last weekend. John Mitchell's coach David Leahy is alleged to have been the victim of the assault.
Tensions began to run high during the second half of the match and then the incident occurred. The John Mitchell's club then refused to continue the game and it was subsequently abandoned.
The Coiste Na nOg CCC is set to investigate the matter.
