Kerry's Colm Cooper
Colm Cooper has an emerged as an injury doubt for Kerry's Munster SFC opener against Tipperary in three weeks' time after suffering a recurrence of an ankle injury in a weekend club game.
The Kerry captain was forced to retire at half-time during Dr Crokes' Kerry club championship semi-final against Luane Rangers. Cooper had been in flying form and scored an early goal to help the Killarney men to a comfortable 2-18 to 0-13 victory.
Crokes chairman Vincent Casey explained to the Irish Examiner: "It's a recurrence of his old ankle injury and though he was able to walk off, he was in pain. We got him treated straight away, and applied ice to the ankle.
"I think Colm will be fine, but obviously any injury to a play as vital as Colm to club and county is a worry."
