Kerry Scór double in All Ireland staging

The GAA Festival of music song, dance and dance provided an entertaining and colourful spectacle at the All Ireland Scór Finals hosted at the INEC, Killarney on Saturday night.

Newly elected President Liam O'Neill hailed the pursuits of participating teams drawn from throughout the country in the GAA promoted cultural programme. As club and county colours wavered in a rousing atmosphere, Kingdom representatives sent the packed auditorium into raptures with a double victory.

Killarney based Spa emerged popular winners to regain their figure dancing title with close neighbours Glenflesk duplicating matters in set dancing.

St Mary's Niamh Farrell sampled success at solo singing to give Sligo a first time win in eleven years.The west of the Shannon enjoyed additional success, Bornacoola of Leitrim had plenty to cheer about on a second time triumph in Question Time.

Amidst stiff competition at instrumental music, Wolfe Tones of Bellaghy representing Derry delivered a series of rousing tunes to collect a victory with Errigal Chiaráin Novelty Act from Tyrone taking glory and completing a productive outing for Ulster champions.

Leinster participants fared well too, Peter Dolan from Moate All Whites revealed his talents to land the dividends at recitation for Westmeath. Clara from Offaly added to their collection of recent national titles thanks to a win at Ballad Group.
