O'Neill laments on loss
April 19, 2012
Kerry under-21 selector Harry O'Neill feels that the Munster final defeat to Cork was one that got away.
The former Dr Crokes manager could only look on as Kerry pushed Cork all the way as extra time was needed to separate the sides in this pulsating contest played last week.
O'Neill hailed the players performance and stressed that with a little more composure, the Kingdom could have prevailed.
"We were fighting our way back into the game all of the time," O'Neill stated to the Kerryman. "We never got ahead of Cork. It took us a little bit of time to settle into the game, after they went four points in front.
"But the lads showed great character in coming back and working their way back into the game."
