SFC: only two divisional sides remain

September 02, 2010
Only two divisional sides have made it through to the quarter-final stage of the 2010 Kerry SFC.

Holders South Kerry (who thumped St Kierans by 1-15 to 1-6 in their Round Three encounter) and Paidi O Se's West Kerry are the sole combinations left standing in the competition.

The defending champions face Kilcummin next, while West Kerry are due to play Dr Crokes in the last eight - a repeat of their first-round match.

Crokes were too strong for the district side earlier in the year and they looked like real Bishop Moynihan Cup contenders as they eased past Kenmare last weekend.

The two all-club quarter-finals see Dingle take on county club champions Kerins O'Rahillys, while Rathmore are rewarded for their stunning defeat of 2008 champions Mid Kerry with a quarter-final date against Austin Stacks (who are bidding for back-to-back semi-final appearances).
