Galvin ban upheld

Kerry's Paul Galvin
The Central Hearings Committee have confirmed that the eight-week suspension handed down to Kerry's Paul Galvin will stand after deliberations yesterday.
The Kerry county board were informed of the decision last night and chairman Jerome Conway indicated that Galvin would not be appealing the decision, which means the Finuge man is set to miss the next four of his county's remaining five league games, including this weekend's meeting with Derry. He is set to return for the Kingdom in their final game against Monaghan.
Galvin and Cork defender Eoin Cadogan, whose four-week ban also still stands, were both sent off in after an off-the-ball incident during Cork's win against Kerry in the NFL just over two weeks' ago.
