Kerry Board unhappy with cornerings

August 27, 2008
The Kerry County Board have indicated their distress with the GAA's decision to only grant their supporters tickets for the two lower corners of the main stand sections at Croke Park this Sunday. Most of the seating in the central areas of the Cusack and Hogan stands have already been distributed to the Wexford and Tyrone support for the 4pm game, while Kerry's replay meeting with Cork at 2pm will see supporters travelling from the Munster province allocated to the corners of the main stand as Hill 16 is closed for the third successive week Meanwhile, Kerry County Board secretary Eamonn O'Sullivan has said that the option of moving to the upper stands in Croke Park does not suit elders travelling to the capital. "We've talked to Croke Park and they say they can't do anything for us. All that is available is tickets for the two lower corners and that's not ideal," said O'Sullivan. "The upper stand is fine for most people, but it's not going to older people looking for tickets."
