Top Kerry defender Marc O Se says being hungry for success has been key to his inspirational form over the last couple of years. O Se saw his form slump in 2006 and he was taken off during an All-Ireland SFC qualifier game with Longford at Fitzgerald Stadium and after storming out of the ground seemed set to put his intercounty career in jeopardy. However he picked himself up in 2007 and today (Sunday) is set to be one of Kerry's key men in their All-Ireland SFC semi-final clash with Cork. "I wasn't happy in 2006, and it told in my performances and being taken off," said O Se. "I wasn't performing like I should have been. "When you're playing for Kerry, you owe it to yourself and the county to produce big performances. When you don't, you get found out easily. "But I was delighted with 2007. I said to myself 'you're not going to get many years at it' and I decided I'd tear into it. "I lost weight, and I just felt a hunger that hadn't been there before." Tweet
