Eamonn Fitzmaurice has much to be pleased about after Kerry posted a whopping 0-32 in their Munster SFC semi-final dismantling of Clare.

"I can't ever remember being involved with a team myself that scored 0-32," the Kingdom boss told the Irish Independent after the 22-point victory.

"We might have got a couple of goals that got you up to that cumulative, but I can't ever remember kicking 32 points. It is a huge score. We had a good bit of ball and we were attacking so that helped us to keep it down at the other end. It is satisfactory to keep the score down and not concede a goal."

Fitzmaurice, who handed seven players their championship debuts, expects Cork to provide a much stiffer test for Kerry in the provincial final.

"Cork are Cork. They have a lot of good players," he stressed.

"During the league, Ronan McCarthy's (demeanour) was very steady, regardless of results. That was going to breed a different atmosphere in the group. There wasn't going to be a knee-jerk reaction, there wasn't going to be an atmosphere looking to the outside. Even though they didn't have a great league, you could see they were content going forward.

"There was a different feel about them."
