Tyrone players on All-Ireland trail
Following the impressive successes of Ruairi Kelly, Stephen Clarke and Padraig McGlinchey in the Irish Nationals, this weekend will see a host of Tyrone stars turn their attentions to the All-Ireland championship stage as the semi-finals of the 40x20 series get underway accross the country. An enticing programme is scheduled for Beragh on Saturday evening, commencing at 6pm, as Ruairi Kelly and Mark McCartan (Junior Doubles) square up to the Leinster champions from Offaly, Padraig McGlinchey and Darragh Daly line-out in the penultimate stage of the Under 21 doubles and John McCullagh takes on Eugene Kennedy in the Diamond Masters semi-final. Elsewhere at other venues Tyrone will be in action as Stephen Clarke contests the Masters B Singles All-Ireland semi-final and Shane O'Neill and Gary McCrory face Kilkenny in the Intermediate doubles.
Youth Presentations on Monday evening
The annual Tyrone Teamtalk Youth Presentation Evening for 2008 will take place in Beragh on Monday evening, commencing at 7.15pm. All players who contested County juvenile finals in Boys and Girls grades will be presented with jerseys, medals and certificates of achievement while all members of the Tyrone Juvenile Handball team must be in attendance for photographs wearing their new kits. Also to be presented will be the winners and runners-up in the Teamtalk Under 10 and Under 12 Blitz competitions. The under 10 event took place last night while the under 12 blitz is tonight, commencing at 6.30pm in Beragh.
Senior Single final
The O'Neills Senior Singles Championship decider will go ahead in Loughmacrory on Saturday 5th April at 5pm. Loughmacrory's Ciaran Curran and Shane O'Neill (BRackey) will meet in that eagerly awaited contest while the O'Neills Senior Doubles championship final will take place in Beragh on Thursday 3rd April between Niall Kerr/Stephen Clarke v Padraig McGlinchey/Darragh Daly at 8pm. The Senior B Singles semi-final, Brian Donaghy v Ryan Daly, will be played directly after that tie at 8.45pm with the final scheduled for Saturday at 6pm, straight after the Senior S Final.
