Seriously, Pat Coyne (Mayo) was a very tough opponent FAVOURITE GROUNDS: Tuam Stadium, Croke Park is also a nice ground but bad memories! HOBBIES: In the little spare time that I do have, I just lie about relaxing and watching tv, I also play some darts and snooker FAVOURITE POSITION: Full forward FAVOURITE PLAYERS: Peter Canavan, Gregory McCartan INFLUENCES ON YOUR CAREER: My family has a big influence. Two mates also - Billy Dunleavy and John Moggan have had big influences in pointing me in the right direction a lot of the time! St. Jarlath's manager Joe Long probably has had the biggest influence and I thank him for all he has done THE HIGH POINT OF YOUR CAREER TO DATE: Captaining St. Jarlath's College to the Hogan Cup in 1994 BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Not having won an All-Ireland minor title with Galway OTHER PLAYERS WITH A PROMISING FUTURE: John Concannon, Michael Donnellan and Pat Coyne WAYS OF IMPROVING THE GAME: Get rid of the niggly little fouls that slow up the game DISLIKES ABOUT THE GAA: Inconsistency of most referees DO YOU HAVE ANY RELATIVES INVOLVED IN GAELIC GAMES?: Brother Tommie plays for the county. My uncle Billy Joyce played midfield for Galway in the past PERSON YOU WOULD MOST LIKE TO MEET: The President of the GAA on the third Sunday of September and he handing me the Same Maguire! FAVOURITE PERSONAL SAYING OR TERM OF ABUSE: 'I am sick as a small hospital' - usually day after going on the beer with the lads; 'That goalkeeper wouldn't stop launching' PET HATES: Sheamas Doherty cracking his ankles!!
