Burke seeks improvement

Corofin captain Alan Burke is adamant that they need to improve if they are to have any impact on the Connacht club SFC.

Having defended their Galway title when defeating Salthill/Knocknacarra in the final last Sunday, Corofin now turn their attentions to the provincial campaign.

They will face the winners of Sligo's Tourlestrane or the Mayo champions (Castlebar or Knockmore).

And Burke believes unless there is an improvement, their involvement in Connacht won't last long.

"Salthill had a few chances in the first half where they missed a goal," Burke told the Tuam Herald.

"They caused us problems and we know that performance won't be good enough if we're to go on further. We have to regroup and learn what we can improve on. Any day that you put up 16 scores though, that's very good."
