All-Ireland champions Corofin will defend the Frank Fox Cup against Mountbellew-Moylough next month after they accounted for Cortoon Shamrocks and Salthill-Knocknacarra in today's semi-finals at Tuam Stadium.

The final will be a repeat of the 2009 decider which Corofin won after a replay. Having needed a replay to get past Tuam Stadium in the quarter-final, Corofin cruised to a 2-11 to 0-7 victory over Cortoon, with county star Gary Sice netting in either half.

In the second semi-final, Mountbellew-Moylough's 1-12 to 1-7 win over Salthill-Knocknacarra saw brothers Michael and John Daly claim the bragging rights over their famous father and Salthill manager, Val.

Eoin Finnerty cancelled out an 11th minute Marcus MacDonnachadha goal to give the black and ambers a 1-6 to 1-2 interval lead. Further scores from Cathal Kenny, Finnerty, Barry McHugh, Cathal Duffy in the second period made sure of the east Galway club's place in the decider.
