Galway football captain Paul Conroy says the Qualifier against Armagh would be an ideal time for the Tribesmen to make a statement.
Conroy captained his county to All-Ireland minor glory in 2007 but senior success has not followed. After their Connacht SFC semi-final defeat to Mayo, they can get their season back on track at the Athletic Grounds on July 11th.
"It is time for a lot of players to try to achieve something at senior level because the years do fly by," the St James clubman tells The Irish News.
"It's definitely a tough draw going up to Ulster at any time and in championship football it's a tough place to get a win.
"You'd kinda be hoping to get a home game and I suppose also Armagh and Tyrone would be the two strongest teams that we could have met. We drew one of them away from home, so it's going to be a massive challenge for us going up there."
