Man of the match Micheal Lundy wasn't getting carried away with Corofin's defeat of All-Ireland club football champions St. Vincent's this afternoon.

The Galway and Connacht kingpins produced an outstanding performance in Tullamore to set up a Croke Park showdown with the winners of tomorrow's second semi-final between Slaughtneil and Austin Stacks on St. Patrick's Day.

"This is a dream come true. This is every club player's dream," the full forward told TG4 before stressing, "we've only half the job done so we'll enjoy tonight, but it's back down to earth Monday and Tuesday."

Lundy admitted that it was something of a novelty for Corofin to be cast in the role of underdogs after being favourites in all of their county and provincial championship games.

"It was the first time all year we came in as underdogs so it was something new, something we had to adjust to. But we knew in our right mind we were all well prepared. We're training now for the last 24 months - since Stephen (Rochford, manager) came in - but it's all paid off today thank God."

Lundy also had a word of praise for team-mate Cathal Silke who made a crucial block to deny St. Vincent'sCiaran Dorney a goal when there was only two points between the sides in the second half.

"Fair play to Silky, he kept us in the game and thankfully the boys up forward, Ian Burke and Sicey (Gary Sice), tacked on the scores when they needed to be done."
