This Wednesday evening [19th June 2013], Salthill-Knocknacarra GAA are hosting a Galway City Inter-Schools Tournament with teams from 3rd and 4th classes representing Scoil Iognaid, Scoil Fhursa, Claddagh N.S. St. Patricks, Lombard St Scoil Einde and St. John the Apostle, Knocknacarra.

Players from the SKGaa senior football team will be on hand to referee and provide "expert advice" as the schools play out a series of challenge matches in the Prairie, Dr. Mannix Rd from 7pm. The tournament is more social than competitive with teas, coffees etc for the parents and some tokens gifts for the players. Each participating school will be presented with a commemorative pennant. Organisation of the event has been facilitated by Eoin O'Donnellan, All-Ireland Club winning Manager and UBFit Sports trainer, in association with ATAK Sports. Tweet
