Our 2012 awards night was held in McDonagh's, Castleblakeney last Saturday. Award winners were as follows: U14 Seán Murray, U16 Gary Hennelly, Minor John Lally, U21 Enda Cunniffe and Senior Emmett Ward. The new Senior Hurling Club jersey was also launched on the night, sponsored by Parker Agri Supplies, Ballymacward. Winners of the May '250 Club' prizes were 1st Michael Hardiman (€100), 2nd Tom O'Halloran (€75) and 3rd Aidan Murray (€75).

On the playing field our Minor hurlers has a good Championship win over Oranmore-Maree 4-15 to 0-14. They now have a break until mid June. Our U10 hurlers were in action, recording their 5 straight win (over Ahascragh-Fohenagh) in the League. The U14 hurlers lost out to Ballinasloe in the Championship, while the U16 footballers went down to Menlough in the League.

Their were challenge games for the Senior hurlers (v Meelick-Eyrecourt) and Junior C hurlers (v Mullagh). Both coming out on top. It was the first game of the year for the Junior C team, new players are welcome.

The U14 hurlers contest the Shield semi-final this evening (Monday) away to Ballinderreen. The U16 footballers play Cortoon Shamrocks in Cortoon tomorrow (Tuesday) evening. The Junior A hurlers are in action on Friday evening against Menlo Emmetts in Carnmore at 7pm.
