Anthony Cunningham expects Cyril Donnellan to recover from an arm injury in time for Galway's All-Ireland hurling semi-final on August 12.

The Padraig Pearses clubman, who was one of the stars of the Tribesmen's sensational Leinster final victory over Kilkenny, chipped a bone in his arm during an internal practice, but Cunningham is confident that he will be fit for the last-four clash with either Cork or Waterford.

"He should be fine. It's restricting his hurling at the moment but that should clear up and we expect to have him for the semi-final," the Galway manager is quoted as saying in The Irish Examiner.

"He's having a great year and it would be terrible to lose him, but we believe Cyril will be fine for the semi-final."
